Mont Saint Michel’s picturesque landscape is more than enough to attract over 3 million tourists every year. Not only is it one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, it was the inspiration for Minas Tirith in the Lord of the Rings. For these reasons, Mont Saint Michel was on the top part of the wish list for me and my boyfriend. Visiting the British equivalent years ago during our holiday in Cornwall intrigued us more about the one in Normandy. Our long-standing wish came true this time, as we finally went to Le Mont Saint Michel from London by bus! We spent 3 days in Mont Saint Michel from 10~12 of April. Basing on our experience, I’ll share some tips about what was great and what would’ve been useful to know. Keep in mind though – our holiday was in the lower season, so it might work differently in summer.…

During the impromptu visit to the UK, my boyfriend and I had a short trip to Mont Saint-Michel in France. We had dreamed of visiting this magical place, and finally made it! We took buses from London all the way to Mont Saint-Michel, trying 3 bus companies – FlixBus, Ouibus (now BlaBlaBus), and Eurolines. Since I had wondered about the differences between bus companies in Europe, I made some notes on each ride. So here are my reviews of FlixBus, Ouibus, and Eurolines for this particular route! FlixBus After comparing schedules & prices for every leg of the journeys, we ended up using FlixBus twice for our outward bus journey: London to Paris & Paris to Le Mont Saint-Michel. The Channel-crossing coach service and the domestic one left different impressions on us, which was interesting to compare. London to Paris Boarding To make the most of our bus trip, we…

The metropolitan city of Seoul presents Hangang Moonlight Market for a fun evening out during your stay in the city (except when freezing Korean winters have their time). With its huge success year by year since 2015 (when previously called Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market), Hangang Moonlight Market has become a go-to place to relish the evening breeze and some new trends. Based on my visits in 2017, here are 10 reasons why I think you should include Hangang Moonlight Market (Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market) in your itinerary. Some of the details about the market may not be the same after its recent rebranding (including its new name), but the general idea remains the same! Bustling Seoul vibes As mentioned earlier, Hangang Moonlight Market (Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market) is attracting more and more people who seek cool cultural venues. A lot of couples, friends and families flock to this outdoor night…

Are you looking for some ideas about places to visit in the UK? With opportunities to live in and visit the UK from 2012, I travelled a fair number of places in the UK, enough to list my top picks. Take a look at the list below if you’re fairly new to the UK for inspiration. If you’re a regular visitor or a resident in the UK, please tell me if any of these is your favourite too! The Shambles, York, North Yorkshire, England As expressed in the previous post about York, I love this city so much that I’ve visited here multiple times; and the Shambles accounts for 90% of the reason! ๐Ÿ™‚ This old street makes me feel like I’m in the wizarding world as if I walk down the Diagon Alley. I’ve only been to York during spring and summer, and hopefully, my next visit can happen…

This review is about my dining experience at Dosan Bunsik in Seoul. Retro and trendy elements were worth a go, although waiting could have been a nightmare as a part of the experience. If you’re up for a stylish snippet of older times of the country, keep reading! It was a sunny morning, bit late to have breakfast and early for lunch, when my friend and I had brunch in the 1970s~1990s of Seoul. My friend had had this place on her wish list for a long time, and it was a good day & time to try.ย When I searched this Korean restaurant on the internet for information, we realised we had to take it seriously to be served at Dosan Bunsik (๋„์‚ฐ ๋ถ„์‹). As a new yet already highly successful eating place, there were a lot of reviews online, all of which mentioned a long queue! With lots of…

While there are a countless number of great restaurants in Seoul, when it comes to ‘healthier’ options choices may drop (apart from so-called ‘healthy traditional K-food’). As I was on a diet, this could have been a problem when seeing friends… before I encountered La Ferme, a ‘super food’ restaurant! How I found it was almost by luck really; I happened to see my friend’s Instagram photo when I was looking up dinner options with other friends. When I first saw her photo, I was attracted by food plating (i.e. Instagrammable). But what appealed to me afterwards was the ingredients used for each dish my friend had. I couldn’t help reading the restaurant’s menu, which convinced me so easily to visit and try. The below is my review about the restaurant including our choice of dishes, general vibes and more. Location La Ferme (๋ผํŽ˜๋ฆ„) is placed between Itaewon and Hangangjin…
